Santoku Senpaku Co., Ltd. (“Santoku Senpaku”) welcomed second grade students from a local elementary school for a workplace visit.
The visit was part of the “Machi Tanken” (“Town Exploration”) learning program, which aims to help students understand the various jobs available in their community and deepen their knowledge of the “Machi” (“town”) they live in.
During the visit, Santoku Senpaku employees explained the role of a shipping company, the different types of ships, and their mechanisms. The students eagerly asked questions such as, “Why do you work at a shipping company?” and “Why are the bottoms of ships painted red?” Through this experience, they gained insight into the shipping industry.
Santoku Senpaku will continue to actively engage in activities that contribute to the local community.
