Santoku Senpaku Co., Ltd. (“Santoku Senpaku”) is pleased to announce that its owned and managed Car Carrier 第二東洋丸(“Daini Toyomaru”) and 第三東洋丸(“Daisan Toyomaru”), have received “Accident-Free Operation Award” from Mazda Logistics Co., Ltd, the charterer of the vessels.

This award is given to vessels that have achieved one full year of operation without any accidents. Daini Toyomaru has maintained accident-free operation for 16 consecutive years since 2009, while Daisan Toyomaru has achieved the same for 10 consecutive years since 2015.

In the past fiscal year, our efforts were particularly recognized, including the prompt and appropriate execution of safety evacuation measures during tsunami advisory alerts, as well as improvements to the working environment around mooring lines—areas that are prone to developing into major accidents. We will continue to work proactively to prevent accidents before they occur and to achieve the sustained operation record of accident-free operations. Santoku Senapku will continue striving for the safe operation and the safety awareness onboard.
