Santoku Senpaku Co., Ltd. (“Santoku Senpaku”) held a convention from November 7 to November 8, 2024, in Osaka, with the aim of promoting safe operations. The convention was attended by our overseas manning business partners from Bangladesh, the Philippines, Myanmar and China, discussing the topic of “safe operations.”

During the convention, Santoku Senpaku presented the operational policies and shared data on the results of PSC* inspections, accidents, trouble cases, injury and illness cases, etc., and exchanged opinions on safety measures with each manning company. In addition, based on an accident case, Santoku Senapaku presented improvement measures and specific measures for safe operation. Each manning company also presented their initiatives and case studies on seafarer education, sharing knowledge in the manning industry.

At the end of the convention, awards were presented to five vessels and one manning company for outstanding operational performance. Each of the five outstanding vessels and the manning company will receive an incentive grant to be used for onboard communication equipment, exercise equipment, food subsidies, etc.

Through this conference, Santoku Senapku were able to further strengthen our relationship with manning companies and enhance cooperation for safe operations.

Santoku Senpaku will continuously promote seafarer training and provide safe operations and high-quality transportation services. *PSC (Port State Control) is the exercise of the right of a port State, when granting permission to a foreign flagged ship to enter a port of the port State, to inspect the vessel to ensure that it meets international safety, pollution and other requirements.
