Company History

1972: Masashi Taga established Santoku Senpaku Ltd., and started Manning Service.

1976: Towa Sho-un Co., Ltd. was established, and started Ships’ Management Business for overseas vessels.

1980: Started Ship Owning Business for domestic vessels.

1981: Reorganized as Santoku Senpaku Co., Ltd., and started Ship Owning Business for international vessels.

1981: Exclusive Business alliance with the Manning Agency in Philippines.

2000: Moved headquarters to the current location, and established HIROSHIMA KYODO KISEN Co., Ltd. for domestic vessels.

2011: First order placed with a Chinese shipyard [Capesize Bulk Carrier].

2022: Multiple orders placed for LNG-duel fueled car carriers with a capacity of 7,500 vehicles.

2023: Junichi Taga was appointed as President and CEO.

2024: Orders placed for a 2024 dual-fuel methanol-powered bulk carrier.
